The Zoo!

After a good morning nap from Leo we were ready for the Zoo. I met Flos, Dave and Wilf at Eberswalde Straße U Bahn station and we took the U2 to Zoologischer Garten. We decided food was needed before we braved the animals so we headed for Bikinihaus shopping arcade where I thought they'd probably have child friendly cafe. We chose the SpreeGold chain and sat down to lunch. The food was decent as normal and the staff were really helpful with the kids lunches. They prepared Wilf a baby sized pasta and happily heated Leo's lunch of Pea and Potato I prepared earlier.

We took our time over lunch and as we approached the zoo, both kids in their push chairs, we reaslied they were fast asleep. We were now entering the Zoo, a place we'd come solely for the children, with both children fast asleep. We walked straight to the restaurant and ordered a shandy each.

The peace didn't last long and we headed to feeding time at the stinky Carnivore House. Last week at the city farm Leo didn't pay attention to the animals, but this time around he was far more interested, all the smells and sights are hard to ignor. I was glad we came, if only for the joy on his face while he watched the little cats running around.
