Oh, such a perfect day

Today was glorious. Leo and I were both i a fantastic mood and all my plans worked out perfectly. After his normal morning nap we headed out into the sunshine.

(The only downer of the day is that the builders appear to be tearing down one of our walls before we've even left. The entire apartment building is filled with dust and debris, and the noise is deafening. So so so glad we're leaving.)

We walked to the playground at Helmholtzplatz. I have previously just been a voyeur at the play ground, but today I got Leo out and we sat on the swings together. Leo loved sitting on my lap,  watching other kids climb and run and jump. I also carried him about and let him guide me where he wanted to touch (and mostly try to eat). The falling autumn leaves and the wood of the pirate ship climbing frame seemed particularly interesting. I even let him slide a little down on the slide. Not far and I was always holding him, non the less he had a huge grin on his face.

I popped back home to let the moving guys into the apartment. They are dropping off a few boxes for us to start packing.

(All the plaster was off the exterior wall of our apartment at this point. I felt like me returning was a surprise to the and if I hadn't they might have been smashing through the wall.)

We headed back out and after a few laps Leo was asleep and I was able to tuck into some delicious samosas at the Ayurveda restaurant. Home to feed Leo a bottle and play for a bit at home, then out in the sunshine again.

We walked to the Wasserturm playground but before I could get Leo out to play he was again fast asleep. The fresh air must be getting to him. For about 30 minutes Leo slept while I listened to a podcast, in a beautiful sun dappled park surrounded by falling leaves. It was an absolute dream!

He woke up happy and we explored the Wasserturm playground. Eventually it was time to go to Music Makers. This week Leo excelled, he seemed to be grinning the entire time. We walked back in the evening sun and had an early dinner. Bath and book, a whipped out and happy little man was fast asleep by 18:25. A new record! Giving me enough time to cook dinner and sort out a few things for the move before Tottenham versus Real Madrid kicks off. Perfect day.
